i recently bought a 400g acrlic tank, 96*36*26.5 high.theres a center island over flow. ive been working on the stand for the past week, and today i plan on putting the tank on the stand. the tank will be mostly sps, with a few softies. im going barebottom, because ive been having trouble with sand in my current 155, and 72.
the skimmer will be an asm G6, i will have 3 closed loops, my return pump will be a mag 3600.
lighting will be 3 250w,1 400w mh,and 2 4' vhos.
here are some pics of the stand, its not fully done, the corners need to be attached. i made it my self, with no help from anyone:)
let me know what you think.http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c199/MathuV/100_1569.jpg

You can find the rubbermaid containers at a farm supply.
We just picked up a 190 gal.

First off the stand looks terrific. My husband does woodwork as a hobby and he built my stand and cabinet when I had my 90 gal going. I love the trim on yours.
My question is, do you have a picture of the back view of the tank? I would like to see how the framework is holding up your rock. I would like to do something similar when I get my 400.
Your tank looks awesome. The only thing I would do is try to hide the overflow. The rest of the rockwork looks great. I started this hobby at age 15 so it's nice to see someone so young doing such a great job, very impressive.

hi
i will try to get a pic of the back, i like the pvc racks, i have no dead spots, and everything is doing great.
i just covered the overflow, im going to get some corals tommorow and im planning on putting a 16"+ cap there its going to be sweet.
i like my stand to but it would of been alot better if i had the right equiptment to work with, the only thing i used was a table saw..the trim took hours, the hardest part was matching up the corners, but every thing turned out ok.

Im not sure if u realise that the number of clown fish u have in there means ur gonna have alot of deaths due to the clown fish fighting. u could probably get away with 4 in a tank that size and if they have there own territory but 1 pair is probably the safest.
otherwise nice tank, very jelouse!
