CO2 tank for calcium reactor

hey guys,
Got a quick question for you. I'm getting ready to setup my tank, I plan on running a calcium reactor - can I use a leftover nitrous tank for the co2?
My main concern would be that some contamination would occur from left over nitous gases/liquid...
