I have what looks to be cotton candy on the skeleton of my Frogspawn. Its been there for a while, just haven't gotten around to post this. It is perfectly healthy, had it for 6+ months.. Nice deep green color and good extension of the tentacles. This leads me to think that this thin layer of pink cotton candy on the skeleton to be good. The skeleton is exposed to light.. the coral is laying flay on the top of a rock.

I'll get a pic tonight after it closes up. I think you guys will be able to give an explanation before them.

No, it comes off in really high flow, which is weird. It is the only place it is in my tank too, so I don't think its a nuisance algae.

Medium. The base gets good flow too.

Its not red cotton algae. If it was, it could easily spread from the coral's skeleton to the rock. Like I said, this is the ONLY place in the tank that has it. I've also had it for 2-3 months and it hasn't grown/receded at all.

I'll try to get a pic as soon as I can find the camera.
