Chiller Question

Hello All:

I have a 46 gallon tank set-up in my covered porch and I am very concerned about temperature regulation as spring is quickly approaching.

I live in South Florida and the covered porch last summer averaged between 76 - 78 at night and 82 - 85 during the day. I light with a 150 watt MH over a glass canpoy.

What would be an appropriate sized chiller for the 46 gallon tank? Any brands better than others?

My tank has been set-up for 3 weeks and I have been able to keep it between 76 and 80 with a 350 watt heater. (We do get some "chilly" winter nights in Fl but I think keeping it cool is going to be more difficult than keeping it warm.)

You may get some good answers hear, but your best bet is to call some of the more reputable chiller manufacturers. Be armed with your tank size and average daily temperatures and temp swings over the entire hot season. They will help you size the unit accordingly.
