I am adding some X-10 modules to my AC JR w/ DC8 setup.

I bought a 10 plug power strip that I would like to fit all the X-10 components on. The only way to get 3 - 3 prong modules, a lamp mod, and the control module would be to put the lamp module and the control mod upside down on the strip. In other words, the polarity of the plug prongs on the control and lamp would be switched.

Will this cause any problems before I do it?

I don't recommend that remove grounds or file down polarized plugs. There are important safety reasons why these features are present on the plugs.

Thanks Curt,

I understand that but the control module I have, the one that you plug the phone wire into, only has two prongs and they are both the same size. So straight from the factory, it is possible to insert it in the plug upside down. With it inserted upside down, would it cause any problems with the way the control signals are sent to the power switches?

I don't think there are any problems w/ plugging in the control interface upside down.
