Tried looking on Melev's for a picture ident, and came with nothing.
It seems like it popped up in the last hour, and it is pulsating/changing shapes constantly. It gets 'thicker and thinner in girth'
I think It popped out a little red 'pod', but I'm not sure.
Any ideas ? Worm? Coral ? Nothing ?
Dangerous ?
Should I reach in there and yank that sucker out ?
aggghhhhhhhh.

Doesn't really change in length, but it certainly changes in girth.
I suppose I could wrap the camera up in a ziplock bag, and get a macro picture.
would it help with identification ?

A picture might help. You could also ask in the invertebrate forum, or I could move this thread there, if you want.

Yes, Please.
And I'm getting a ziplock right now, I'll update the thread as soon as I attach the picture.
edit: Well, the ziplock bag is throwing my macro mode off, so I just touched it up a little in photoshop.
Its a pretty...bad.

Well, I adjusted my PH and the critter sunk back into the rock...
I think I'm going to stick with Peanut worm, unless anyone else has an idea... ?

Actually, I was going to use the term 'phallic' to describe the rock, as it looked EXACTLY like a ... well, you know.
My girlfriend even said that it looked like my... you know..."size and all"
I didn't want to get tossed for trolling, though.
