I just broke a plastic float valve fitting. I have a brass and galvanized one I can use. I know you can't use one of them, but not sure if its copper or brass or both. Please help? Thanks

Brass, copper, and galvanized fittings will harm/kill inverts and fish.

Just FYI - brass is a copper alloy, it contains copper. And copper is no good in reef tanks.

I assume its ok to have it on the flaot valve before the ro unit since it would get filtered out. Anyway, I hooked it all up and can't get it to work right. It either puts regular water in the tank or nothing at all. Any suggestions on how to run a wate rpressure solnoid valve to the ro unit to a float switch?

If I learn 1 new thing each day then I consider it to be a productive day. Good info to know.:D

Ha sanybody ever plumbed a water solonoid to a flaot valve before? I can't get mine to work right. There are 3 holes, one at each end and one on the side. I have the raw water going in and out and the ro water to a T that goes to the float valve and the soloid valve. The float works great but the ro unit does not shut off it just keeps dumping waste water down the drain, which I can't have since I am on 2 very poor wells. Does anyone have a drawing of how these things work?
