First time RO Unit buyer with questions

I need my own RO Unit and I'm thinking about buying my friends old AquaFX Dolphin but I dont know anything about these pieces of equipment. Are all RO Units basically the same or do people recomend a certain brand? My tank is 120 gal and I go through about 15-20 gal a week. So far I've been buying my RO water for $1 for 5 gal off of a LFS.

You might want to check the tds of the lfs water. I have a lfs help with the set up of my 90 and was a little short of RO/DI water. He wanted to use some of his but I tested it first. He said it was good because he just put new filter etc. Well it tested at almost 300 ppm of TDS. I don't think so. I waited for my Typhoon III RO/Di to make some more.

I would buy new. For a little over 100 dollars you can get a new RO/DI. Check out ebay or AIRWATERICE.COM
