T5 High Output or Metal Halide.

Three 250watt Metal Halide's or 4-6 strips of T5 HO.

I have the same length tank (60x24X30). I purchased a PFO Hood from Marine Depot with 3 250 MH and 2 VHO and 2 Fans... It was the cheapest for that setup. I went with the cheap ballast. It has worked very well for the past couple of years.

I have the same length tank and my 2 250 watt MH's are plenty of light. I added the 175 watt since otherwise it would not have been used. I also have 220 watts of VHO 03 supplement. I got my MH's from www.reefexotics.com, and they have excellent products, prices, and some of the best customer service you could ever imagine. Ask for Anthony over there and he'll definitely take care of you :D.

I have the same footprint tank too. I an running 2 - 250w MH radium bulbs w/ 440w VHO URI Superactinincs to supplement all on 2 ARO electronic ballasts & Icecap 660 for the VHO's. Installed in a DIY hood. Going on 2 years with this setup with no problems. I keep a liottle bit of everything on my mixed reef. SPS, LPS, Sofites, etc. Bought everything from hellolights.com .
