Phytoplankton and rotifers anyone?

Hi,
I have a mixed lps and sps tank, but mostly lps. I was wondering if any of you culture your own phyto and rotifers to feed your tank? My understanding is that it's not hard to culture. If so, have you noticed an improvement of coral health as far as color and growth goes?

I feed my tank both but I do not culture my own. DTs phyto and forzen rotifers. Some times Dt oyster eggs instead of rotifers.
