All six of my Mexican Turbos are covered in small, white, semi-circular tubes. Today, for the first time, one of the snails blossomed with tens of tiny little, bright orange, very fluffy featherduster looking creatures.

When this particular snail was close to the glass, I used a 10x loupe to inspect it closer. Sure enough, they look like the little featherdusters growing in the live rock, but much smaller and much more colorful.

1) What is it?

2) Is this normal?

3) Is this healthy?

Thanks for your thoughts!

They are tiny Fan Worms. (Like miniture feather dusters).

Won't hurt a thing. I just had a snail get them on his shell in my tank. Love it. I call him my Decorator snail. ;)

It's normal & Won't hurt the animal it's on.

I had a snail with a small hard coral on it that looked like a small open brain coral. They are like moving rocks anything can grow on them.
