How long has it been running? Mine put out microbubbles for quite a while before it slimed up enough or whatever happens to stop the bubbles. It's also in the sump now but I never notice any bubbles.

Adjust to air flow on the end of your airline tube. If there isnt a valve on the end of the air tube, get one

you might be able to add a sponge near the outlet to reduce bubbles. I seem to remember reading this some where on the internet. The down side will be you will have to clean it pretty often to keep the skimmer working correctly.

i ran the skiimer since last night and when i woke up this morning nothing had changed there where still bubbles in the main tank. i was wondering if the bubbles could cause any harm to animals in tank?

No harm to the fish and very minimal effect on corals---evident if they are producing large amounts of slime in the tank or not opening at all. Just not very pleasing to view. My understanding is this is a common problem with this skimmer. When the skimmer is broken in you will have less problems with this.

By broken in, think 2 or 3 weeks. The bubbles won't harm anything.
