How do they grow/split

I have zoo as a hitchiker and it looks like its growing a lump on the backside of it and it also has a litttle tube coming out the side that looks like a closed up zoo but really small, how do they grow does the base swell then split or do they get a little off shoot going that then opens up???

Usually they will grow a mat and spread from there.

what zoos grow like a mat? i have 6 different types of zoos and they're all individual polyps. i just fragged my rpes and they were the same way.

It all depends on the type of zoa and their spreading pattern. Your RPEs may have been palys, in which case it is normal for them to root out from polyp to polyp.

If you find a dense clump of zoas they will grow in a mat similar to Star Polyps.
