Is a 20L or a 30 gal (glass) safe for a full grown O. scyllarus or say a Gonodactylaceus like this guy:

And for rwhhunt, that Pseudosquilla ciliata your friend has is absolutely the most gorgeous mantis I've ever seen:

How did your friend get him? What did liveaquaria.com list it under?

It was listed as a "lime green mantis" on Liveaquaria, it was lucky though, b/c other members of this forum ordered the same thing and recieved avariety of ~5 different species... One guy recieved a small black one under an inch, while this guy was ~3"

Someone should send them roys list and help them out. There is a place over here in SoCal and I always sex their mantis for them and ID the hitchhiker ones most the time. I should start collecting money for each ID :D

6-7mm glass or thicker will stop a full grown peacock blow. Even at much thinner glass, it would take a concentrated direct hit, and probably multiple strikes to cause damage. I have seen mine use the glass as a hard surface to break claws open on, as well as whiff a crab and strike the glass, both were no where close to the intensity needed to crack glass...
