And I need some placement ideas. I have it now on the left hand side towards the back. I have a mixed tank with the pulse set a little over the half way point on the first setting. I bought it with the thoughts of upgrading my tank to a 125. I have some sps in the flow path about halfway through the tank. I have my softer stuff on the same wall as the tunze, but is there a more ideal position for this? Also, will the 6000 be strong enough for my 125? Or if I upgrade the transformer box to the 6100? First time posting here so any help would be appreciated. I should mention I have the single controller and the photocell. Thanks!

It is probably just something you will have to try, I expect it will be difficult to use the 6000 in a 55 as it is so narrow that the flow will channel and bounce around. On a 125 I would prefer 2 6000 over 1 6100 but 1 6000 won't be sufficient.

but for starters on the 125, the one 6100 would be okay?

It could be too much, if you have sand it will be a definite problem, again, a narrow tank so the flow channels and being shallow it is a bigger problem. The flow would be very strong on one end so the end near the pump would have to be almost exclusively SPS.
