zoa's next to hairy mushroom

Does anyone know if zoa's are up against a hairy mushroom will they cause the mushroom to shrivel or retract?

My hairy shrooms keep everything around them closed up except other types of shrooms and my bubble coral.

I have a sea shell with a hariy mushroom (it jsut split) and also there are 5 big pinkish purple zoas on it. they are always open even if the hairy is right on top.

I've had the hairy mushrooms win the battle for space agaist just about everything in my soft coral tank.

i have arock with hairyes mushroom and is next to everything and nothing has pass zooos , gsp,yellow polyps, everything is really next to each other
