I've had a clown and rbta before but I've never seen this. Is this normal? The tentacles seem to be bubbling up nicer than usual so it may actually like it.

My clown used to do the same thing to our anemone but I didn't get as good a photo as you did. Great shot!

I was told that clowns do this sometimes.

Thanks.. it wasn't easy to capture that shot, I took atleast 15 snaps before I finally captured him in action.

This clown is pretty aggressive. When my hand is near the rbta or hammer that he hosts in he'll attack me -it doesn't hurt but it startles the heck out of me when I'm not ready for it.

It's normal behavior for clowns, so is the attacking of your hand when your not ready for it.

My clown does the same thing, and I've heard from quite a few people that it's perfectly normal. They do get pretty aggressive when anything, including your hand, gets too close to their anemone. Mine will usually just swim around my hand "angrily", but once I've had it swim back about 4-5" and actually ram my hand. Scared the bloody hell out of me!

My female clown bites the living daylights out of me anytime I put my hand in the tank. It feels like a small electrical shock and you are right, t.biondolillo@b, she usually does it when I least expect it. This in turn makes me scream which makes me husband laugh. Nice guy, huh?
