Were aout 1/4 inch across when I got them with nice long tentacles, now seem to be shrinking, less than 1/8 inch across and barely any tentacles. Every other zoo in tank is doing great and spreading. I tried them at the bottom of the tank and at the top. Have 150w DE halides on the tank (3). What could be happening to them?

Thanks

How long have you had them?

Got them from Salty Critter in November. Was there last month and his colony looks great.

Hmm I think I may own "his colony" :) My wife talked them out of selling to her out of their display tank :)

1/2 hr after introducing them to the tank.

It seems like sometimes zoas can just melt away like xenia.

Might try giving them a dip. I have something similar, and in my tank under 250w MH i tried them on the sand for a good 2 months and not even 1 polyps grew. I moved them up to the top of the tank, with medium flow and they have doubled the amount of polyps since the move. IMO this color needs high light.

These are mine.

Guys I have bought some zoos 2 weeks ago and half of them are still closed and the other half are open. Why the other half are not opening ?

Good idea about the dip. I will try it tonight. I have not seen any nudis, but I haven't look real close either.
