View Full Version : how do i keep baby cleaner shrimp alive?

One of my cleaner released a part of its egg batch 1/2 hour after lites out. Put some of the babys in a jar and need to know if it is poosible to riase them and what to do to keep them alive?

They are very difficult to feed, and keep alive. Not impossible, just very difficult.

start researching live food, the small kind

ironically, the baby shrimp are food for the corals and fish already in your reef

such is the way of life. It's the natural way in the ocean (with less than 1% surviving). . If you want to raise them you should seriously look into a few dedicated fry raising tanks. It takes alot of work. Or just accept what is happening and witness the circle of life right in your own home.
