I have mushrooms on a rock, and the mushrooms have began to melt away. They start to slime up and then just start stringing away...sorry about the bad example...like cheese on a hot pizza, you pull and pull and cheese keeps stringing out...

All parameters are ok, 32 salinty, 77 temp, 8.2 ph, 400+ Ca, 0 trates, 0 trites, 0 amm, .1 phos, low flow area...but not to low...VHO lights...some are doing well while others are melting away...

Please help

Cannot post pics...tech has lacked me so

found out what it was and would post for others...Page 328 of The Reef Aquarium, but Delbeek & Sprung. "Brown jelly" It had spread to 3 rocks and wiped out 1 rock completely, the others it worked on them. I siphoned out and added the good old carbon, and all looking better now. But man 36 hours and alot of damage done,

Oh, well I found it out the old fashioned way...in a book...

Good luck all and happy reefing

Those are good books. Glad you got it figured out.
