Anyone ever kept one of these guys in a reef??

Amazing (IMO) to see in person, love their body lines.

Wow, 24" max length..... it would be an amazing show fish in a large tank.

Little too big for my little setup :(

I tried once a couple years ago. That is the juvie coloration in the pic. I bought mine at about 4 inches. Lived for about 2 months and kicked. Found out after the fact that they are delicate fish that do not do well in the aquarium. Kind of the moorish idol.

All Sweetlips get very large 2'+ and usually don't do well in a tank. Most die after a short time from not eating, being harashed or just not eating enough. A good group of fish to really just pass on unless you have a very large tank.
