Ok, here is what I think a 50 breeder. My question is a 175 HQI is that enough? The tank is 3 feet long.

Over a 50 breeder, no, its likely about right. Zoas arent terribly high light animals, however, I've seen them thrive under everything from NO Flourescents to 400W Halides in my care. I'd think over a 50 breeder the 175W should provide decent growth. Being that the tank is 3' long, you'd obviously have some lower light areas which is good for some of the blues and other zoas that lose color when blasted with light, but still gives you a bit higher light area in the middle for the light loving zoas.
