fragging a zooanthid rock

My buddy has a huge rock w/ about 150 or so polyps on it. He is wanting to split it with me. What is the best way to go about busting this rock. I have heard just take it out and chisel and hammer. Is that OK to do? Thanks.

try to frag ingle zoos off to get a good spot to chisel so you dont kille then, then glue them onlater

but be careful wiht zoos, thast y im not putin anyi n my tank, i dont liek dieng !

Yeah take a chisel and hammer and pound it out. Make sure you have a bucket of tank water because you dont want to cause a debris storm in your tank. After you frag it swoosh it around in the bucket then put them back in the tank.
