I have never kept a clam before so I am looking for some advice/critique.

I have a 15g tall tank that has a 30g breeder sump.

I am looking into a 150 watt double ended setup that comes with a 14K phoenix bulb. Also have a 24 watt 10K power compact light that I can mount as well.

My question is regarding water chemistry. I know calcium is very important and I have read a great deal about dripped kalk.

I was able to come across a kangaroo dosing pump in an auction.

I was thinking of using this as a top off/kalk dosing pump.

Also looking at different skimmers:

ASM mini
ASM G1 (not sure if it will fit where I need it to)
AquaC Remora
Coralife Super Skimmer

Thanks

I wouldn't either bother putting up the PC. It really will do nothing compared to the MH pendant. The Phoenix is a nice bulb you will be happy with it and so will clams. I would go with the ASM if you can make it fit, but the Aqua C Remora is good for a hob. I really haven't used the auto top off you are speaking off, but remember to keep you ca/alk balanced. Kalkwasser will help keep both stable, but you will have to use a ca/alk supliment to raise the levels. Both B-Ionic and Ocean's Blend are good two part additives.

Also, make sure you monitor the CA/ALK with good test kits! (Salifert)
