What do you'all suggest is the % of water change after my Live Rock is cycled....100% 75% 50%...? I have a 170 gallon Bowfront that will be a mainly a SPS tank running under 624 watts of T5's.

Also what salt mix are you'all recommneding SeaChem, Reef Crystals, Kent...?

TIA,

I cant see any benefit from doing anymore than a 20% water change after the cycle.
I believe the idea of water changes is to replenish lost trace elements so doing a large water change in a tank that has no problems seems to me to be a waste of money that could be spent on your first fish/coral.
I use and have always used tropic marin salt and have lost 1 fish in 2 years of rejoining the hobby.

Enjoy your new tank and good luck.

I would do as much of a water change as needed to get the nitrates below 10ppm.

Yea i wouldnt do a special water change for the rock. If you have a problem (like high nitrates) then do no more thena 20%. Other then that you can start your normal water change cycle. As far as the salt question. There is a big poll going on right now about which salt is being used. Heres the link. you can use your own judgement on that. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=769116
