Taking a chance and acquired a pair of snowflakes today. Personally i dont find them as nice as my onyx clowns but i bought them for there genetic potential. for now they will remain as a pair, but my intention is to pair them up with Rods onyx and a picasso from ora. i dont want more snowflake looking clowns, but im hoping to get more black in there body. so hopefully the genetics from rods onyx and ora's picasso will result some interesting clowns.

they are still very juvenile bec i still can see there spines. im surprised for the heavy thick white at this young age.

It will be interesting if you document these fish as they mature to see if they develope more of the white pigmented areas. Though these are A. ocellaris, A. percula have been documented to continue late white pigmentation as they mature.

to be honest. thats exactly what im planning to do. i actually use reefcentral as my pesonal diary :) thats the best way to learn about clownfish dev. is to document every change in pattern.

if you want to see my other clowns go to my personal clownfish site :)

to be honest, oama, im not even close to breeding. im taking JHartmans advise in one of his threads, and acquiring as many interesting clowns as i possibly can. so hopefully i have many back up pairs thru the next few years.

Hmm... are you trying to hybridize A. ocellaris and A. percula?

i forgot the fact that osc. develop there white bars faster than percs. makes sense why the white is so heavy already at there age.
