Have any of you had problems with your zoanthids doing poorly in close proximity to Xenia??? I had a small patch of these zoa's that have declined rapidly that are close to these Xenia stalks. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have seen entire colonies disappear by encroaching Xenia. They do not have a problem growing right over a zoanthid colony.
Best to seperate them.
funkay, my elongata xenia are harmless to my zoos

I also had a colony disappear due to xenia. It just grew on top and starved the zoanthids of light. They were ugly zoas, so I just let nature happen.

Ti,
You're a lucky one. Usually Xenia just overgrows and kills whatever it gets into contact with. Shame, it's purty too.
