Actually, it isn't really new. I had a small tank setup for growing out small frags under the stand. I transfered it's contents to a new tank for the bedroom, and added some more live rock from the sump. (9lbs) I will be building canopy within next couple of days. I have about 5 small blue/purple mushrooms, 2" Kenya tree, 1" Devil hand, hammer frag, misc polyps. Those will all go into the new tank shortly. Do you think I will get a cycle? I transfered hob filter, rock from sump, 2g water, and a handful of sand from display in a bag inside filter. Also, what do ya think 2 of the Coralife 50/50 screw-in, and one 6500k 25w would grow?

i have a 5.5 setup with 2 32w pc bulbs, one is a 50/50 and the other is a dual actinic bulb. Ive seen the screw bulbs and think it should be more than sufficient. Personally I would just use 2 50/50 bulbs, but thats just a color preferance.

Good luck on the black sand. It always looked grungy after the first few weeks.

How did you get a T5 over that tank, I thought the shortest T5 was 24" ? Just asking.

I personally run a MB7. I just ordered a 70w MH ballast for it. I never thought of going the T5 path for it.
Maybe once I razor off the glass and wire the MH, I'll post some picture of it again.
Don't worry about size of the tank, its how you work it =)
