View Full Version : Good Ball Valves?

Hey guys/gals,

I've been using the 1 and 2" Home Depot ball valves and they are a complete piece of crap. Once they stay stationary in one position for any length of time, you can't move the things without using channel locks. Is there a better valve out there that I can plumb into my new system, so I don't have to use these God awful things?

Thanks.

I recently switched my plumbing to the true union ball valves from savko.com. They are much nicer and don't seem to have the same locking problems.

Great! I knew there had to be something out there that was better. Another question for you off topic, how do you like your supersquirt? Have you had any problems with it clogging?
Thanks.

I really like the OMs, but they do need to be taken apart and the cylinders cleaned in vinegar every couple of months, just like most pumps in a high calc system. You can usually hear them "clicking" as they start to stick, so it's easy to tell when to clean them.
