Ok I am an setting up a a40g breeder tank as Zoa dominated tank. I have drilled it for a overflow and will be building the sump and calfo this weekend.

Here are the specs that I am thinking about using.

Lighting-- 4X39w T5 retro regular ballast 2 Blue+ bulbs and 2 Aquablue

water movement-- about 30X turnover with powerheads MJ 900 modded as per BullDzr thread in the DIY forum plus sump return

Sump 23 total gallon run at about 15g with fuge no skimmer at this time will probably ad one later.

Weekly water changes of 10% using Instant Ocean(I have always used this in my FOWLR)

Faux sandbedin display but fuge(about 12g) will have DSB.

Is there something that I am missing here or am I on the right track.

Thanks
Doug

Doug, sounds like a nice setup. By "calfo" do you mean a horizontal overflow, manifold, etc?

Garrett.

looking into the quiet one 3000 possibly the 4000 run through a SCWD. Not sure exactly whick one yet or if those are the pumps I am going to use. As with most things in this hobby some like some don't. It is all hit or miss I think.
