i currently have a 7g w/ 2 x 24w T5 HO w/ single lens reflectors. i'm looking to keep a maxima or a squasmosa

clams need very stable water. with 7g's you can have large swings in PH, SG in a very short time. also clams will suck the Ca and Alk out of the water very fast,thats another thing that is not good for clams.

Agreed 100%. The lighting could potentially pose a problem. Even if you had a ig MH bulb I'd still thing the size is a big issue. Maybe if you had a 20g sump tied to it or something.

i think i'll pass on getting a clam now. i'm getting the same advice from several ppl. thanks guys
