camera/computer compatability ???

i have a gateway computer and am looking at the canon a610 camera, someone told me i better be sure the camera was compatable with the computer.....

is that true?? i didn't know you had to check for camera/computer compatability....:confused:

No, this is rarely the case. Canon and Nikon uses TWAIN sources, often the camera will be recognised by the computer as either, a camera, or a mass storage device, and either will be fine.

I would just go buy a cheap media card reader, and use that for file transfers, it's faster too. Way faster.

pretty much if you are running windows and have a USB port and a CD ROM drive, you will be good to go.
