Our tank is 3 months old and we have substantial floating green algae.

Tank Specs:

75 gallon
3 T5 light strips - at 4 hours per day for now.
75 lbs live rock
Skimmer
Mechanical filter
1 powerhead

Nitrates, Nitrates, phos are all at 0.
Salinity is 1.023 and pH is 8.2. 78-80 degrees. Weekly water changes.

1 tang, puffer, starfish, cucumber and cleaner shrimp.

How do I get rid of this green floating algae? Help!!!!

Yes, can you at least describe in more detail what you mean by "floating" algae?

do you have any mechanical filtration? A filter sock maybe?

have mechanical filtration, hang on tank skimmer, 2 powerheads.

its just basically green water. I keep doing water changes and it keeps growing back. The water im using is RODI water.

If the water is green, then the most likely cause is overfeeding. Testing for phosphates might make that clear. For now, keep doing water changes, cut back on feedings and make sure that the skimmer is functioning correctly....or if it isn't an effective one, get a better one.
