I just got a new frag of favites and the best place I have to put it is somewhat close (2 inches) from my crocea clam.

I read in my coral book that favia sp. have sweeper tenticles which extend at night. Will these sweepers harm my clam?

Thanks

Clams seem to be immune to many of the stings of corals IME. I have several favites next to clams with no ill effects. You should be fine.

hehe, our clam has a sick relationship with our war coral (favites pentagonia). It likes to stretch out and lay it's lip on top of the war coral, it's bizzarre. We've tried to separate them but the clam keeps streching to touch it! ~Charles~

The only coral that has cause irritation to my clams is the frogspawn.
