I use a pair of Diagonals. Just clip along the line for the size you want.

Dikes work pretty good. Others use a dremel (seems like to much trouble to me) and yet others just slam a screwdriver down through a row of the plastic.

If you use a table saw, wear eye protection (you should anyway) as the pieces turn into little missles.

For small sections I use my 12" compound miter saw.

plyers

no flying pieces, grab twist, but you may have to clean the ends up some

This is the correct answer.

I used a jigsaw the first time, and other cutting tools until one day I tried pliers.

Very easy and accurate/fast.

side cutter - pliers. yes you will have some edges to clean up(heavy grit sand paper) but its the easiest and fastest way.

Pliers. Easy, quick, and they cost about 3 bucks at Wal Mart.

i like to use diagonal cutters to cut it to shape leaving a decent amount of the tab left. i then snap off the tab either using my thumb or a pair of pliers. this leaves a smooth finish up against the next row of eggcrate.

Thanks all, I would have never thought of the diagonal pliers. I've used a Jigsaw in the past but that was awkard. I just cut the eggcrate with the pliers and couldn't believe how easy it was.

Thanks again.

I like using needle nose pliers. Grab and give a little twist to snap the plastic.

I then clean the edges by running the open needle nose down the sides quickly.
