Louis,

Have you identified the brownish colored coral on the rock underneath your zoanthids?

It looks very similar to Goniopora. Does it have 24 tentacles surrounding the mouths?
Compare it to this species at the Australian Institute of Marine Science web site:
http://whelk.aims.gov.au/coralsearch/html/701-800/Species%20pages/757.htm

The species in the link is considered "Rare" in abundance.

Can I have first dibs on a frag? :D

John,
That's most interesting!

That guy came through the cycling of the tank with ammonia off the scale and >110mg/L of nitrate! I had thought it is a Siderastrea sp., which are considered indestructable. I would give you frags if you are in Australia! and if I know how to frag something like that! It's an integral part of the LR.

Here's a another closeup, care to do the honor of counting? :D
