How Many Lights?

I have a 29g set-up that I am trying to make good again. I have 2 55wX2 PC retro kits, but I think I only want to run 3 of the 4 lights. Should I use all of the lights or just go with 3 of them? The reason I want to cut the lights is that I am going to redisign my hood and I will not have much room if I use all 4 of them. Does "more light" = Better?

3/4 will be alright, but try to do all 4. The more the marrier (up to 10 or so watts/gal that is...)

The question can't really be answered without asking what you plan to keep in the tank. I run a 250w MH over my 29, but it is all SPS. For mushrooms ands zoas you could go with one set of the 2x 55w PCs on the low end.
