copper banded swimming funny

Is it normal for copperbanded's to swim sideways every once in a while or is it a sign of it geting ready to die or get sick?

No fish will do that every now and then. You really cant tell if a fish is going to die or get sick by the way it swims.
You can tell if they are sick by the way they swim but they would have to be scratching on the sand or rockwork. Also darting around is another sign.

Other than that, Copperbands can swim in many differnt positions, it is in there nature, since they have to get inbetween rocks and such to feed. That is what there nose is for.
