Hi all,

Debating retro-fitting my 375 with a pond foam background. Tank is up and filled.

My thoughts were to adhere the foam to 1/4 black starboard cut to fit (I have eurobracing and cross pieces so 25" is max width, so I'd have 6 pieces including the overflows)

This would allow me several benefits

1) could apply while flat, should be easier than trying on a vertical surface.

2) could soak each piece after drying to cure and remove contaminants.

Have several questions.

1) has anyone done anything similiar? Do you like it? Lessons learned?
2) is 1/4 thick enough? My worry is it would bend and separate the foam if its not very "sticky"
2) Could i get away with different backing sprayed black? Maybe 1/4 plexi?
3) How brittle/flexible is this foam? Anything I need to worry about?
4) Has anyone adhered pieces of rock into the foam to make little shelves, etc?
5) How long is dry time? How long to cure?
6) Any brands better than others?
7) Other advice appreciated as well.

Thanks
