leather finger coral problem

hi all
i bought a leather finger coral about 2 weeks ago.
all was fine for a few days and then it detatched itself off its rock:(
i attatched it back using a rubber band but today it has broken in 2 and fell off the rock again:eek:

the questions are, will it survive (both pieces)? and shall i attatch them back using a toothpick (i thought i read this advice somewhere)?

It will most likely survive. You had the rubberband too tight most likely. The toothpick method works, but I'm not a big fan about it. You can take a needle and thread and sew the thread through the base of the frag and tie it down lightly to a rock. Give it about a week or two to attach. Once it securely attaches itself, you can cut the thread and pull it out of the frag.
