Nice Sohal...I'd love to get one, but don't think I have the room for it. How does he get along with others?

my sohol is an angel.... but he definitly runs the tank...

I think the success factor with that tang is that he has to eat constantly.... I feed small portions to mine 3-5 times a day.... ( I work from home, so when I eat...so does the tang).... The downside is that I have to do water changes constantly to reduce the bioload from having a 4 large fish in the reef (1 sohol + 3 blue tangs).

tank is 60" long x 40" tall x 36"

Main circulation is a Iwaki 70RLT through an oceansmotion 4way revolution.

Skimming is done by a G2 and a CoralLife 225 superskimmer with ozone.

I also have a 60w UV sterilizer.

Lighting is done by 2x 250 HQI Geismanns (13.5K) and a 4PFO 400 MH (20k)

Did you use anything to help your aquascaping? ie. pvc, expoxy, cable ties etc.

And what's with all the posts saying ttt?

Steve, I know my mg is a little low. I does Tropic Marin Bio Magnesium to attempt to raise it. With 400 + gallons you can only imagine that I am dosing mg by the pound.....

ttt = to the top... posts get lost quick around here. LOL

Some rocks are held by zipties, but most are held by gravity... I notched some of the rocks with a hammer and chisel to get them to fit better.

60x48x36 is an unusual size? Who made it? How thick is the material? I've always wanted something that was very wide and tall as well.
Great tank!

The tank was a custom acrylic tank that was measured incorrectly... so I was able to pick it up for great deal, since the guy needed to recoup his loses... The tank has 3/4" acrylic on the 4 sides and bottom and 1/2" on the top (eurobraced with a center brace).
