Hi,

I may sound like a bit of a "numpty" but I really don't know the answer so forgive my ignorance!

I currently run an Aqua Medic Oceanlight 150+ with two 24w T5actinics. The light is approx. 12" above my Juwel 190 corner unit. In the near future I'm going to be adding some Acropora's in & I am wanting to increase the light strength.

Is there a 175W or 250W metal halide bulb that will fit this so I can replace my current aqualine 150w bulb? Is there anyone who's done the same thing???

Many thanks.......

I don't think that you can increase the bulb strength with out increasing the ballast strength. If your ballast is for 150w bulbs than a 175 or a 250 will not work in it.

Pardon my ignorance - what is "ballast" strength? I had a feeling this might not be as straight forward as I had hoped.....
