Hey

Just a quick question if you had 3 tanks, and in each tank there was going to be only one type of coral in each tank, what kind of lighting would you recommend for the following tanks.
1. Xenia dominated/ for growth and propogations purposes.
2. Zooanthid
3. Ricordia

Which you yield the fasts growth for the corals in each senerio.

Thanks for your time

I think PC's would be fine for all 3

I would go with T5s, PCs are ok but they generate more heat IMO.

T5's are High Ouput bulbs they use slightly less watts per bulb then VHOss do. But they seen to be a much better bulb than VHOs are.

I just installed my first set of T5s on a 55 gal. It is sitting next to my 20 gal that has 2x65 pcs. The 20 gal looks dark now, and I am not running the reflectors on the T5 yet for aclimation. I will switch the 20 over soon.
