i just havent heard anything from him since then.

Shoot Bob, I have the one partial tube of Weldon 16 and my Ca Reactor I just built is giving me a fit so I figured I'd be using it. I have some 3 and/or 4 and I could bring along some in a hypo bottle if you want. BTW, that extruded tubing from Aquatic Eco Systems is absolute junk!!!Won't drill, won't tap, won't bond for crap, crazes like crazy, J-U-N-K. I'm going to have to start all over with cell cast I guess. Anyone want to buy a used reactor? Guaranteed to leak

BobCReef
03/04/2006, 05:12 AM
Thanks anyway Rich, but i would think i would need the thicker 16

We got leak free seals on most of our chambers. I'm having problems with only one of ours. The first one we did, before we knew better. Lucky, I guess.

THANKS GUYS!!!

Whew, its in, went in great HUH??

after you all left, i went to Tuckerton Lumber to buy a peice of that rigid insulation to compensate for the dip in the lumber
i had to get 1" (it was all they sold)

since then i drilled in the bulkheads and attatched them., and wired in the VHO lighting, i didnt wire in the MH yet,(still need new reflectors)

tomorrow i will go to home depot to get my plumbing fittings, then start my water dripping in the tank, should fill in a couple of days.

again, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made it an easy lift,

Rich, you were alittle late, but you were here in our minds any way.

again, Thanks, i really appreciate it!!!!

No problem, Jerry. I'm glad it went so smoothly.

Just curious: When you're done, will you have access to the tank from inside the house, or will you have to go out to the garage whenever you need to get into it?

Good luck with the rest of the setup. If you need help with anything, don't heistate to ask.

jer1198
03/04/2006, 06:43 PM
when my other tank was in the wall, i only had garage access, and i swore if i could do it again, i would have front access too.

i will have a 10 inch wide "panel" door to get into the tanks from the top.
also when i hung the hood, i didnt think of how tall the tank was, and it limited my entry into the garage side" of the t6ank, that has been solved, i raides the hood up another 6 inches, so its now 14 inches up off the tank.

JohnS_323
03/04/2006, 06:56 PM
Cool! We were talking about that on the way home and were thinking "Wow, that's gonna stink if you can't get to it from the inside". Glad you learned from the last one and were able to make the adjustments with this one

jer1198
03/04/2006, 07:48 PM
yeah, i made a few mistaked with the last setup, i think i have them all corrected, the most important to me were the wires going everywhere, and the access to the tank, there are 2 dedicated 15 amp circuits for the tank, so it made it easier (and neater) to do the electric into to "plug panels"

and what did ya think of the fuge RichT built, pretty sweet huh???

the tiler
03/04/2006, 08:04 PM
I would not use the 1" for underlayment
You really need to find the 1/4
You will still need to brace up that low spot in the middle
The 1/4 is for slight variations that's all

Jason

jer1198
03/04/2006, 08:13 PM
forgot to add that part Jason, i added a post under the low spot, i would have to say its all but gone now, i couldnt get the edge of a sawzall blade between the tank base and the foam.

i have the foam under the tank already, whats the reason for not using the 1" stuff??

its will be easier to get the 1" out and put the 1/2 inch in than it was to get the 1" in, but just curiuos.

also, when do you plan on doing your chiller??
what type of referigerant is it gonna be. 134,22,410a?

RichT made that sump, huh? That's a pretty sweet piece of craftsmenship. I'll have to remember that. It looked really cool with the rock and the fish in it. I'm sure that is just temporary, but it looked cool.

The whole setup is very nice. Everything in the garage is neat and tidy. Great job!

Thanks!!

im leaving the live rock in the right side of the fuge, the side with the fish will be macro, and ill probably put the fish in the big glass box up top, just a thought.
