At David's meeting, Henry and I were talking about a strange looking fish I saw in the pacific in Mexico.

I got a couple of pics of it. They are not real good, the fish was about 20 feet away and I was standing on a dock. I would guess the fish body was about 6" long, but the real interesting part was the real long streamers on its fins.

Cool fish but rather common. It's an African Pompano (Alectis ciliaris) and a young one at that. Those streamers disappear once it becomes an adult. Was there more than one of them?

Thanks Henry,
It was by itself, just swimming out to sea.
