I've had my Lawnmower Blenny in my show tank for a week. He does not seem interested in prepared food. He ate food at the LFS and in QT. I've not seen him go after it in the show tank. I place Nori on a clip once or twice a day for my Tang. The Tang sometimes lets small pieces get away, but my Blenny does not go for them. He moves around the tank eating some Diatoms off the glass. I have a rock with some GHA. It appears something is eating it, but I don't know if it is the Blenny or the Turbo's I've been placing on it. He seems healthy and strong. Does not appear skinny. He may be a little bigger. I guess he is getting food from somewhere.

If he ate nori for you in QT, it could be that your tang won't let him get near the nori. My tang is a bully, so in my tank I put a small piece on the clip for the tang, and a small piece rubberbanded to a rock for the blenny.

I've never seen him try to eat what's on the clip. The Tang may have bullied him when I was not looking. I'll try putting some Nori for him on another clip.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Mine eats no prepared foods at all, just grazes all day. If your is active and has a fat tummy at the end of the day, don't sweat it.
Watch out for jumping though ;)
