I am moving into a new tank, so I need to borrow some rubbermaid tubs. Or I could buy them if I knew which ones to get. Someone had mentioned to make sure the tub is food safe? Does anyone know which ones are food safe?

Thanks
Bruce

Bruce, I think what you have heard is the industrial tubs. I have never heard food safe. But, then again I could be wrong. I work in the food service industry and KFC has raw chicken in, like a hard plastic tub. It's not rubber and every kitchen I have been in the big rubbermaid type tubs are used for all kinds of things. I have never noticed if they where any different from the thick industrial type you can get from Home Depot or Lowes. That's just my 2 cents. John

Rubbermaid troughs are used for water storage or ice bins. Often found as water storage for livestock (horses, cows, etc). Brute Trash Cans need to be "food safe". I don't remember the actual term on the label that you need to look for though.
