I have heard many people using Hydrogen Peroxide to treat Cyanobacteria. Everyone that I have talked to has had awesome results. Has anyone here used it before to treat their tanks?
I am doubting the use of it, as I have numerous coral (mainly sps) and many clams of all sizes from small ones requiring feedings to survive, to huge ones.
If used, what percentage grade have you used, and how much?

This sounds interesting, I just had a cyno break out and are looking for ways to remove it without harming my many corals I have. Very interested in what people have to say about this.

I have heard of people dosing Hydrogen Peroxide, but I am not aware of the safe dosage.

I also read about it when i was looking for a solution to my cyno problem. I ended up going with chemi clean and am SO glad i did. Absolutely no negative effects throughout the treatment (i added an airstone to the water for additional airation) and its now been 4 months with not a single sign of cyno. I've recommended this stuff to everyone i've talked to with a cyno problem.
It just amazed me how simple and effect this stuff was. If you decide against trying the hydrogen peroxide, go with chemi clean.

You won't be sorry. I'm as cautious as they come about putting chemicals in my tank. I tried every single thing suggested here on my cyno prob. 1 dose of the chemi clean and problem solved.
Remember to add an air stone to the water though. I think this is very important. The chemi clean reduces your tanks ORP.
I left the chemi clean in my tank for 2 days. During that time i had my skimmer off but continued everything else normally(except the added air stone). After 8 hrs all the cyno was gone but i wanted to be certain so i left it in longer. After the 48 hr mark i did a water change, turned on the skimmer and added carbon.
