Heres a new small skimmer I made for a friend. (I'm not used to building things small!) I tried to keep costs down on this one to get more skim per buck:)
I wanted to show what can be done with not much $, a lot of skimming for a smaller system.
I also found a cool little fitting at Lowes to make the venturi out of for a needlewheel pump. The second inlet is to feed overflow water to the skimmer, or a second needlewheel. I made a locking sliding gate for the drain to make the skimmer fit tightly in the sump. This is as large a skimmer as would fit in his sump. I think it was 24H x 10W x 5D
Enjoy:)
