what kind of Macro.. sorry RD69 my plans changed and did not make it your way. Hoping I can early this week as I have two costumers to visit there.

Mo no need to apologize you are a busy man with a family to care for. So business comes first. The macro is a mix caulerpa racemosa and caulerpa prolifera. One quart, but I still need to get some red grape and gracilaria for main tank for fish to feed on.

im gonna bring some mini grape to the march 5yth meeting at the ywca to raffle off, maybe you'll get lucky and win....what a quart worth....that sounds good enough...... the stuff grows mad everywhere...could possibly take over all your calerpa if you put it in the macro tank....tangs love this stuff, ya know when i was at sanjaye he has acropras with macro growing inside the fish couldnt get to it it was a very nice setup it grew and when it grew threw the rocks the fish would keep it trimmed all nicely and then it grew again...very nice for feeding once in a while..

That sounds like a good setup. I will try that one day. Well the macro arrived and it looks like cooked spinach. The quart that filled the bag is now filling only1/4 of the bag, water green and caulerpais drak drak green. Looks just like cooked spinach. It was packed very well styro and heat pak. Heat pak was still warm when I openned box. I assume it got to warm in the box with all the insulation and cook it. What should I do with it? Doesn't seem like shipping is going to good for me huh?

keep it and grow....it will grow...that stuff is crazy...just keep a light on it in the fuge, let it go give it 2 weeks and it will bloom everywhere....you'll see...i ac tually tried drying it out for like a week one time then through it back in and it started growing again...it was nuts

cool...i want some pink stuff........i have other types also but the mini grape outgrows everythingand there is no room for nothin , which is good for the tank, hosts alot of critters and keep the microalgae under control...so i guess im gonna have to stick with this stuff....it does a great job.....and when i put 2 96 pc's on in it this week, itll even do a better job, ill have to throw it away after away...give it away at these monthly meetings...you should come visit us at these meetings somemonth...go out for some coldies afterwards....

How far away are you? You guys are like 5 hours away right? I think Mo said he was tired enough to need a hotel. That would be an expensive trip for me. :)

you dont need a hotel...yeah its 5 hrs...ride sucks but hey least you can come get some free stuff....get some cute guy to get you a room, and make him take you out for drinks....all night long....lol

i had goten a bag off of Frd and i only have about 30 watts of light on it and it is growing very fast i imagine its more than likly hard to kill if you wanted to

how big of tank for the 30watts? that stuff doesnt die...lol..its like a mother in law or somethign, they keep on tickin and tickin....my 29 gal has 80 watts...growin fair..about a month old, and its full to the top, like light doesnt even get through to the bottom barely....its mad stuff

Ok, I put it all in the fuge. i will put a small bit in the main tank with the MH just to see what will happen. I still see those roots like yours on it everywhere so I guess it is alright. In a week or two we'll see how it does.

take it out of the main tank, it wont be in there by tommorrowmorning...the fish will eat it by tommorrow guarenteed...regular ligthing does just fine, expecially if its on 24/7.....

Dragon's tongue is the red spikey algae in that link.
Halymenia Floresii I'm pretty sure... from memory.

yeah ok, its pretty cool , i wonder if it grows super fast like the mini grape stuff....cuz if it doesnt then it wouldnt do well in the tank i have....i would like to get some thoough

Yeah Steph, I was going to buy some from that thread. Let me know how I works out when you get it. I might still get some then again I will wait till the meeting. Syracuse is that north of wilkes barre or south? If you do come Steph and have to pass wilkes Barre you think I can get a ride, I can help with gas?

I'm going to the Rochester stores on Saturday for the first time. I do have some Calculus studying since I'll be gone most of Saturday.

syracuse is a ways from you...its north of us about 5 hour, and we are an hour west of you....lol...that sucks you dont h ave a ride...if i didnt have 2 kids with me i would come get you....your not far from us either like 45 min away.... one of these days i might just go alone, and ill come get ya with my pimped out ride....let me know though if your coming for sure, so i can bring an extra quart for ya...
